nextdoor to grief and loneliness

several years ago, I called my brother.  it was 7am.  for him, it was 11pm.  we were on opposite sides of the globe, sharing his car ride from central indiana to cincinnati children's hospital.  his daughter, maylin, was airlifted with his wife Maggie.  Maylin was struggling with serious, life-threatening medical problems.  this event was the first of a life altering shift in their family.  over the next weeks and months, they would encounter levels of grief previously unknown to them.  this past sunday, i interviewed my brother as a part of our nextdoor teaching series.  you can watch that interview here:
