We give because
God provided
and
we're committed.
If you're new or just visiting, please don't feel obligated to give anything. Tithes and offerings are something we do as a group for three reasons. First, we're thankful for everything we have and we believe God gave it to us. To show our thanks, we give some back. Second, the Bible gives us some great examples of tithing which we follow. Abraham gave in Genesis 14:20 and the pattern was repeated time and time again through the Old Testament and into the New. Third, we give financially because we're a community who believe in what God is doing. We aren't a business with an income. It's free to be a part of what's going on. Without selling something or charging at the door, the only way we keep doing this great work together is if we all chip in. So we give.
Tithing and Giving
"Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this," says the LORD Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it. Malachi 3:10
Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. Luke 6:38a

Giving More Than Money
You probably already know this but there's more to give than just money. God gave you time. God gave you energy and gifts. God gave you talent. Any resource that you have in your hand can be given to your church family. Can you paint? Swing a hammer? Listen to someone who's hurting? Bake a meal? Send a note of encouragement? When we give our lives to one another, we invest in a community with endless potential. What can you give? Who can you serve?
