Children Here at CWC our goal is to provide a warm and safe environment where children can come and learn about Jesus. We believe that we are raising children to be the hands and feet of Jesus and we love teaching them the foundational principles of having a relationship with Jesus. We have a room for your child, any age, 0-5th grade! They will be loved on and greeted with a warm smile.
Youth Teens are a vibrant, vital part of the church. We value teaching our teens how to navigate the changing culture while keeping them grounded in their identity in Jesus Christ. We value creating unity and an atmosphere of vulnerability while having fun and playing many nerf wars and eating yummy snacks! There is a seat for you every Sunday night 6-8pm.
Trail Life Trail Life USA is a Church-Based, Christ-Centered, Boy-Focused mentoring and discipleship journey that speaks to the heart of a boy. Established on timeless values derived from the Bible and set in the context of outdoor adventure, boys from Kindergarten through 12th grade are engaged in a Troop setting by male mentors where they are challenged to grow in character, understand their purpose, serve their community, and develop practical leadership skills to carry out the mission for which they were created.

Outreach In 2020, we burned our mortgage! Yep! God has helped us to become a debt-free church! We praise Him! For years, we have worked hard to get out of debt and give at least 10% of our budget to missions! We invest 5% of our budget to incredible local ministries like Fostering Further, Heartbeats, Seven Baskets and Vertical 196. We also have a thriving Benevolence ministry, where we are blessed to come alongside our neighbors by helping to lighten their financial strain with fuel cards, groceries, utility bills, and most recently, bikes! We also invest 5% of our budget in foreign missions. We deeply invest in our missionaries through prayer support, frequent check-ins, personal gifts and get-to-know-you events when our missionaries visit. We are honored to partner with missionaries from Global Partners and World Gospel Mission.
Hope Landing We are so blessed to be a Hope Landing partner! In 2021, Fostering Further purchased an apartment building to provide a safe place for young adults, who have aged out of foster care, to call home for the season when they need it. In 2021, we renovated and adopted one of the apartments. Every month we invest funds in Hope Landing to help keep the operations going. We are also actively involved in the upkeep of the apartment. Before each new tenant arrives, CWC volunteers deep clean and stock the apartment with dozens of "Welcome Home" items. When our young adult arrives, their apartment is fully equipped with everything they could possibly need! From pots and pans, toothbrushes and toothpaste, a pantry full of food, trashcans and brooms, to a perfectly made bed to collapse in. We praise God for allowing us to serve youth in this way who are aging out of foster care!
Kind At Heart There are many needs in the community for the elderly and persons with disabilities. Kind At Heart exists to serve those who face hardships due to these specific circumstances. Some people may need a visit, while others may need home modifications to regain freedom. Kind At Heart meets the needs of those who cannot help themselves, and they do so in the name of Jesus Christ.
Stephen Ministries Stephen Ministry offers a proven and effective way to organize, equip, and supervise a team of congregation members, called Stephen Ministers, to provide high-quality, one-to-one, Christ-centered care to people in the congregation and the community experiencing life difficulties. Operation Christmas Child Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritanʼs Purse, an international relief organization. Their mission is to provide local partners around the world with shoeboxes filled with small toys, hygiene items, and school supplies. These shoeboxes provide a means of reaching out to children in their own communities with the Good News of Jesus Christ. They ship these simple gifts outside the United States to children affected by war, poverty, natural disaster, famine, and disease; and to children living on Native American reservations in the U.S. We are blessed to not only fill these boxes ourselves but to be a Drop-Off location in Licking County!
Sewing Sisters Meeting every Thursday, this ministry provides quilts and blankets for those in our church community. They also partner with ministries overseas to provide dresses and clothes for those in need. Sewing Sisters are a supportive, encouraging group that cares for those in the hospitals, nursing homes, on bed rest at home or in the middle of a major life event. |
